This scene was captured at a rodeo in front of a screen projected footage of a different area of the arena. the rider had just been bucked off and the image captured the moment of freedom the horse felt by kicking its hind legs in the air and splaying its tail in front of the screen. The decisive moment was the ghost like image portrayed on the screen appeared to be riding the bucking horse.
