Craig Williams, Birubi (PLACES 2023)

Birubi Beach sits on the northern end of the Stockton Sand Dunes, which are the largest moving sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere. A short walk off the main road and the scale and beauty of these Dunes becomes evident, they certainly are a sight to behold. I had pre visions of the shot I'd like to take, however as is often the case, the scene presented differently to this vision. I was happy to see the couple on the far horizon which formed a good, albeit small focal point, and was fixated also on the strong foreground which I used to anchor the shot. It was an amazing experience and I'll definitely be back to shoot this location again.
