Maxim Roden, Between Light and Silence (PEOPLE 2026)
A study in contrast and restraint, Between Light and Silence explores the delicate relationship between illumination and obscurity. Strips of light carve through the darkness, revealing only fragments of the subject’s form while concealing identity and narrative. The interplay of shadow transforms the body into a landscape of tone and texture, inviting the viewer to linger in uncertainty. By withholding as much as it reveals, the image becomes less a portrait of a person and more an exploration of presence, vulnerability, and the quiet intimacy that exists between what is seen and what remains hidden.
