This image represents my personal grief and anxiety felt by the impact of climate change and loss of habitat and animals during the recent bushfire crisis. My message is a reminder that humans and the natural world are connected – not just from an evolutionary point of view but in a cognitive and conscious sense. And we’re both fragile. This image draws a link between the body (self portrait) and the burnt land - to illustrate the connection between human and the natural world.
