Martin Barwood, Bald Eagle (ANIMALS 2025)

Day 8, my last day photographing bald eagles in British Columbia before heading back to Vancouver and home. Everything was wet from intermittent heavy rain, and I was heading back and decided for one last walk upriver. On the way back, wetter and colder than earlier, spotted this bald eagle feeding. Got as low to the river as possible and after around 20 minutes the eagle flew away from me. I kept him in the view finder and he turned and came straight towards me. The Z9 did an amazing job of keeping it in focus.
