Michelle Hartnett, Backwards Glance (ANIMALS 2022)

I was photographing the pelicans resting on the sand at my local beach at Lennox Head in NSW, when this resplendent fellow turned towards me and raised his head just over his shoulders. That backwards glance was a moment to remember.
