Adam Gearing, Assiniboine Sleeping (Places)
Known as the 'Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies', Mt. Assiniboine stands proudly above the surrounding peaks. This aerial image was captured on a chilly Autumn morning from the door of a chartered helicopter; foot access to the area is limited to preserve the landscape and must be booked well in advance. Currently drones are prohibited in Canadian National Parks so helicopters remain the only means to photograph aerials in the Rockies.
