Kseniya Fox, As the Tides Change (PLACES 2026)

As I was walking, the bright trunk of a mangrove caught my attention. I’m fascinated by how these trees survive both in water and without it. Often, when the tide changes, it becomes quite windy. I experimented with multiple exposure to create the impression of a windy day. This image is an in-camera multiple exposure of nine frames. In post-production, I increased the contrast and used dodging, burning, and masks.
