Nicolas REMY, Anglerfish (ANIMALS 2021)

The red-fingered anglerfish is a species endemic to Botany Bay (south Sydney) which comes in different colours but, more importantly for a monochrome conversion, has a very interesting skin texture. This particular individual was actually gray (save for the red at the tip of its fin), and I chose a monochrome conversion to emphasise its dense skin texture. Also, i have used a single snooted strobe to illuminate only the fish and nearby sponges, avoiding a distracting background.
