Lauren McArthur, Ancient Hollow (PLACES 2026)

Its cold, wet and dark. The projection of an echo is the only thing that is before you in the cave. Before walking into the darkness, I turn around and take a final moment of the light beaming in through the ancient hole in the mountain. Stillness is in the air, calm and quiet. Bold and godly I thought to myself, terrifying but peaceful is the hollow.
