Wiebke Parker, Ancanthe (Places)

‘Ancanthe’ is the name of this building, which is situated in the foothills of Mount Wellington/kunanyi in Tasmania. The building was commissioned by Lady Jane Franklin in 1842, to serve as a hub for education and cultural exchange. These days the building is leased by The Art Society of Tasmania and is utilised as an art gallery.
