Liz Barratt, Always paddle your own canoe. (PEOPLE 2021)
A lone board paddler contemplating the waters. Always paddle your own canoe was a saying that my mum wrote in my autograph book when I was a child. She unfortunately passed away shortly after she wrote it and I've always considered this saying a message from her to be resilient and it has held me in good stead. A saying which should be used more often to encourage people to find themselves and do what is best for them. For this person he is weighing up his options on when to enter to the water and the course to steer to a successful paddle on his own.
