Craig Roberts, Alignment (PLACES 2021)

Very rarely do the stars align in order to make this shot possible. The time of year and day, positions the sun to cast the shadow in the right spot. The tide needs to be low enough so that you can place a small tripod on the rocks to get the line of sight and long exposure, but, the swell needs to be big enough to allow the rock pool to overflow and the wind needs to be weak enough to not to create a blown out affect. Only then can you create alignment worthy tohang on a wall.
