I captured this photo on a family farm with 500 chickens. The kids, 3 and 4 years old, were high energy throughout the session, helping their mum and dad collect eggs and holding the chickens. Eventually they ran out of steam, this one climbing up into mum's arms to be carried back to the farmhouse. I was captured by the intense stare of this 4 year old who was understandably done with me being at her home, but who continued to stare defiantly down the lens.
