Theresa` Lee, A Moment of Quiet (PEOPLE 2022)

A sense of contentment was the first thing I felt when seeing this couple sitting together on a deserted beach as the storm was approaching. This moment was captured without them being aware of my presence. The dark clouds and surf line become metaphorical threads joining this couple together. Later I approached them to show this image, which they were delighted to see. It transpired they were watching their children swim in the surf, making sure they were safe.
