Maerion Rodgers, A Fraction of a Second (ANIMALS 2024)
I can’t claim credit for the subject placement in this image! Actually getting the shot was quite a fluke! All the birds came together, as I focussed on the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo gliding out of a nearby tree. I pressed the shutter button … twice. The second shot wasn’t as good as the first, with the Butcher Bird’s wings folded down, the Rainbow Lorikeet’s face was obscured by its wings and the Crested Pidgeon was missing entirely.
