Kathy Brown, A boy and a Pirate Ship (PLACES 2024)
An image taken in Iluka Bay of “Notorious” the black ship . A replica fifteenth century caravel made entirely of reclaimed Monterey cypress timber. The black ship travels up and down the coast visiting different ports where it opens for people to go onboard and visit this amazing pirate ship from the past. This time it is anchored in Iluka Bay, NSW. At the time of capture there just happened to be a small boy on the ship looking like he was living the part of a little boys fantasy of old historic ships and seafaring pirates.
