As Sniffany stretched out in her favourite spot on the sheetless bed as I was trying to change the bedding, I couldn’t help notice the catchlights reflecting the window in her glistening eyes and how she was framed by a halo-like vignette of white. A black and white portrait in this moment emphasises not only the contrast of the scene but it converted her black and tan fur into a gradient of shades between black and white. The approximate 30 shades of grey visible to the human eye emphasises the wiry texture of her fur and sparkle in her eyes.
