Emmanuel Hernandez, 017 (ANIMALS 2023)

I came to make this image on a last-minute decision to hike up Mount Cootha in Brisbane Australia. The time was about 5 pm and the sunlight was hitting the woods beautifully. As I walked up the trail I kept hearing a loud fierce calling from a bird that I couldn't locate. Suddenly a white flutter from a Sulphur-crested cockatoo caught my eye. My heart began pounding quickly and I noticed a smile forming on my face. I pulled up my camera, taking various photos until I captured its wings spreading open, showing how magnificent it was.
